Happy Monday Beaut’s!

This is literally the 5th time I have drafted this blog post only to have it deleted! Shaizah…

I’ve been saving this post until I had a hot second to get a detailed description/review of each, so here goes …and enjoy =)

Soapology NYC

Walnut Polisher

This is the #1 best selling product at Soapology NYC and here’s why: it is a scrub that lathers AND gentle enough to use on your face AND body AND it clears your skin of blackheads, whiteheads and further breakouts. It smells incredible and since it’s okay for sensitive skin I give it my stamp of approval.

Creamy Scrub (Black Coconut)

This scrub is similar to the above with the addition of larger exfoliating beads (pumice stone) and acts as a makeup remover with it’s creamy base. It’s ideal for dry, sensitive skin and made with shea butter and tea tree oil. This is the newest product in my cabinet and I’ve been extremely pleased with this little gem, however I think the Walnut Scrub is still my favorite and I like a creamy cleanser sans exfoliant for removing makeup.

Anti-Aging Serum

This serum is perfect for after a sunburn or to heal picked at skin (yeah…I still do it too sometimes even though I know it’s awful). It’s ideal for sensitive skin and soaks into the skin quickly. It diminished inflammation and redness with aloe vera, witch hazel, green tea and vitamin E. My only caveat is it’s not very big so it goes really fast for the price.

Dead Sea Mineral Mud

Okay…I may have lied…this may be my favorite…gah! So hard to choose. This face mask is in a league of it’s own (great movie) because it contains mud from the dead sea and salt, which helps aid in the detoxification. It dries quickly and the salt acts as an exfoliant. I’ve noticed with certain mud masks, they dry super crusty and this one doesn’t. It feels cool and moisturizing as it draws out impurities and aids in blood circulation and cell regeneration. LOVE the salt in this.

Herbivore Botanicals

Blue Tansy AHA & BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask

This is their most popular product and here’s why: it contains Azulene which aids as a powerful anti-inflammatory and gives it the beautiful blue color. It’s extremely gentle and reduces redness for extremely sensitive skin. I typically sleep with it on then wake up to brighter, clearer and calmer skin in the morning. Just splash it off with cool water, moisturize and you’re ready to go. #winning

Pink Clay Gentle Exfoliating Floral and Clay Mask

I just started using this and after mixing it with water, I’ve now started mixing it with Bragg’s apple cider vinegar. It takes on a whole new element of effectiveness that way and also gives it a little zing. This is super gentle and does a great job exfoliating. It does give a chalky finish on my skin after I wash it off, but not so much with the apple cider vinegar mixed in.

Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist

This is a shower of hydration for your face! I have to tell myself to STOP with this one because I love it so much. The coconut is soothing and I can’t get enough of rose water with it’s calming smell. When you let it soak in, depending on your skin, you may not even need to use a moisturizer. THAT’s how hydrating this spray is. LOVE LOVE LOVE….

Lapis Oil Balancing Facial Oil

This little guy is cool. This oil also holds the Azulene ingredient which acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial that aids in reducing redness and clarifying the complexion. Formulated for combination, oily, and blemish-prone skin types or any skin in need of relief from inflammation. I love throwing this in my travel bag or purse. Sometimes I like to dab a little on my lips if I don’t have my Jack Black SPF 25 lip moisturizer (fav). Even at night I find myself putting it around my lips too because it soaks in so easily. The squalane ingredient is something our body stops producing naturally after age 25, so this vegetable based supplement (used to be shark based…CRAZY right???) is just perfect. It also lasts a really long time because the oil goes so far. LOVE.

SK-II

Facial Treatment Mask

There’s a reason why these are in every make up artist’s kit…they WORK like a beast. They are indeed expensive, but I like to buy the 10-pack twice a year when I get my pro discount of 20% at Sephora for being a VIB Beauty Rouge member…aka “You spend WAY too much here but we’re gonna reward you”. I actually gave one to my co-worker to try before a big event our company was having at the Cipriani and she laid down in the office with this mask on for 20 mins! It was amazing. Her skin was radiant which is a big deal because she and I have both struggled with hormonal acne our whole lives. LOVE LOVE LOVE…

Bliss

Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

This was a lovely product I got for free when redeeming some points and after reading the reviews I was super stoked to try it out. Suffice to say it definitely lives up to the hype of being a great cleanser. I typically do a double cleanse so this is a great product for the second cleanse.

and…a few essential oils….lemon and I don’t really know what the other two are…

But we’ll talk about those items later…

lots of love Beaut’s! xoxo
